Reflection #2 Response of " A Good Man Is Hard to Find"

I am not much of a reader, but I read the story " A Good Man Is Hard to Find" and although there were some things I did not understand, I liked it very much. It was a shocking story, it puts you to think, question yourself and ask, why does things happen when they happen or why do they happen. Well, at least many of does questions were in the mind of the so called Misfit. I identified a lot with the feelings of the Misfit, since he reminded me of a person in my family that I care for, very much. The same pride and stubbornness that does not help them think with a clear and more understanding mind. I think is very sad that a person can think and act the way that he does. A person that thinks and acts that way must be a person full of prejudice and low self-esteem, that is simply not normal nor healthy. Faith is about believing and trusting even though you do not see it. That Misfit lost his faith and love for God. The terrible thing is that he knew he was doing it wrong and he did it anyway. The ending really surprised me, I did not think it was going to end the tragic way it did. I have always been taught in church and in my house that we should not question God's doing and that was the first thing that the Misfit did wrong. I believe God gave us life, created everything and everybody, so he is the only one with the power and authority to take the life out of somebody away. As I have been told before "not a leaf falls of a tree without God knowing about it". Everything happens for a reason, with a purpose because God has the control of every little detail of our lifes. In the beginning of the story when I read the tittle I thought the story had to be about all the bad desicions that us girls make when we choose a guy because "Good Man Are Hard to Find", but then it turned out to be nothing like that. It was an interesting story and I can say that I learned that with humility, trust and faith completely in God everything will be all right, and when you think it is not going to be okay, trust me it will, just when you think your falling down, "he holds you and lets you know he is there".
